ALKM - Finned Circular Anemostat

Dimensions in mm, weight in kg
These technical conditions define the range of manufactured sizes of ceiling, round anemostats with vanes (hereinafter anemostats), of types ALKM 250, 300, 400, 500, 600. The data apply to the production, design, ordering, delivery, assembly and operation.

I. GENERAL

1. Description

Anemostat is a terminal, air-handling element for distribution of air. It is suitable to be built-in to the ceiling in rooms with the ceiling height of approximately 2.6 - 4 m, for the purpose of inlet and outlet of air. The outlet areas of anemostats are formed by rigid profiled vanes and their round construction allows for the inlet air to be spread evenly to all directions. The effective outlet speed wef shall in no case be less than 2 m.s-1. If the speed is lower the air stream is torn off the ceiling.

2. Design

The inlet piping is connected through connection boxes which provide for optimal air inlet. The boxes have round sockets for horizontal or vertical connection. According to the requirements the sockets can be fitted with a regulation flap valve.

Anemostats are to be used in macroclimatic areas with mild climate according to ČSN EN 60 721-3-0, AA4 environment acc. to ČSN 33 2000-3, and for BNV spaces acc. to ČSN 33 2320. Front outlet surfaces consist of a frame constructed as a diffuser, and rigid profiled vanes. With the help of the central screw the anemostat face can be fixed or removed.

V [m3.h-1] - medium flow rate on the wall
A [m] - distance between two anemostats
L [m] - horizontal and vertical distance (X + H1) from the wall

Example

Given data:
V = 1000 m3.h-1
X = 4.0 m
∆tP = -6 o C
L = 5.5 m (against wall)
A = 6 m L = 4.5 m (between anemostats)
H1 = 1.5 m

Chart 1:
LWA = 32 dB(A)
∆pc = 17 Pa

Chart 5 :
L(between anemostats) = A/2+H1 = 3+1.5 = 4.5 m
∆tL/∆tp = 0.11 ∆tL = -6x0.11 = -0.66 o C
L (on the wall) = X+H1 = 4.0+1.5 = 5.5 m
∆tL/∆tp = 0,08
∆tL = -6x0.08 = -0.48 o C

Chart 10 :
wH1 (between anemostats) = 0.9 m.s-1
wL (on the wall) = 0.12 m.s-1

IV. MATERIAL

Front panels are made of steel sheet. The surface is coated with white baking varnish, shade number RAL-9010.

Requirements for other shades of front panels have to be agreed with the manufacturer in advance.

The connection boxes are made of galvanized steel sheet.

V. PACKAGING, TRANSPORT, TAKE-OVER, STORAGE

Anemostats are supplied packed in cardboard. They are transported freely in bulk by common means of transport. If agreed with the manufacturer, anemostats can be delivered on palettes.

If no method of take-over is mentioned in the order, handing anemostats over to the carrier will be considered as a take-over. When handling during the transport or storage, anemostats should be protected against mechanical damage and weather conditions. Anemostats should be kept in closed stores IB: 1 according to ČSN 03 8207, on a wooden floor or grate.

The manufacturer provides warranty of 18 months for anemostats, from the date of putting into operation, but 24 months from the dispatch date as a maximum.

The delivery consists of a complete anemostat together with a quality and completeness certificate

stamped as a proof of check.
