KMM - Covering Grid

1. Description

Cover grates (hereinafter grates) are used to cover side holes and free ends of piping, or to be fitted into the wall.

Grates prevent passing larger objects and are suitable for systems without dust, fibres, etc.

Square grates are fixed to side holes or free ends of piping with screws 6.3 x 16 according to ČSN 02 1232.25. Free ends of piping are adapted by notching in corners up to length of "C" and bending. Corners remain free. Notching, bending, cutting the side holes out, boring, and fitting the grate is made during assembly.

Grates together with frames are supplied as a unit.

Grates are designed for macroclimatic areas with mild climate according to ČSN EN 60721-3-0, for AA4 environment according to ČSN 33 2000-3, and BNV spaces acc. to ČSN 33 2320.

2. Design

Grates consist of a flange, panel made of tensile metal, and frame for fitting to wall if required. Dimensions A = 800 and higher have grates provided with a central stiffening belt.

  2. Design of grates as for the surface painting and colour shades is marked by a number on the second place next to the technical conditions designation.

6. Material, surface protection

The grate flanges and panels from tensile metal are made of material class 11 and coated as mentioned in article 2b.

Frames for fitting to the wall are provided only with a ground coat.

7. Packaging, transport, take - over, storage

Grates are supplied in cardboard packaging. While transported and stored they must be protected against mechanical damage and weather conditions.

If no method of take-over is mentioned in the order, handing the goods over to the carrier will be considered as a take-over.
