RKKM - Circular Register

Dimensions in mm, weights in kg.
These specifications stipulate the production sizes and versions for "LEAKPROOF, CYLINDRICAL CONTROL DAMPERS RKKTM " (further only dampers). They are valid for production, design, ordering, delivery, assembly, operation and maintenance.

I. GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Description

1.1. The dampers consist of the body, the leaf and the control mechanism. They serve the regulation of the air flow in the piping by constricting the cross section.

1.2. The dampers are meant for environments protected against climatic influences of the category 3K5 according to ČSN EN 60 721-3-3 for BNV areas according to ČSN EN 1127-1 and AA4 environments according to ČSN 33 2000-3. The air flowing through the dampers must not contain solid, fibrous, adhesive or aggressive particles, and its temperature must lie in the range of -10 to + 60° C.

1.3. The maximum pressure difference and the speed of the air flow in the leakproof control dampers.

6. Pressure losses

Pressure losses dependent on the turning of the damper's leaf
  V [m3.h-1] - through-flow volume of air
  ∆p [Pa] - pressure loss when ρ =1,2 kg.m-3
  w [m.s-1] - flow speed
  α [ ° ] - angle of leaf's turning

7. Material, surface treatment

The body of the damper and the leaf are made of galvanized sheet; the leaf's journals are of steel. The version on spiro piping can come with or without a rubber edge seal. The damper is delivered without further surface treatment.

III. CHECKING, TESTING

8.1. The dimensions are checked by means of the usual measuring instruments according to the norm for non-tolerable dimensions used in air technology.

8.2. Intermediate operation checks of the parts and main dimensions are carried out according to the drawing documents.

8.3. After the plant assembly, a check of the functioning of the closing mechanism and the electrical components is carried out.

IV. PACKING, TRANSPORT, TAKING OVER, STORAGE

9. The dampers are shipped in bulk by covered means of transport. In agreement with the customer, it is possible to ship the dampers on pallets. The dampers must be protected against mechanical damage when handling during the time of transport and storage.

Should packaging material be used, it is non-returnable and its price is not included in the price of the damper. The manufacturer will charge a fee for the packaging material in agreement with the requirements of law 477/2001 Sb.

10. If the manner of take-over is not stated in the order, the handing over of the dampers by the transporters will be considered as the take-over.

11. The dampers must be stored in covered warehouses, in areas without aggressive vapors, gases and dust. In the warehouses, a temperature within the range of -5 to +40° C and a relative humidity of max. 80 % must be maintained.

12. The manufacturer grants a warrantee for the dampers of 24 months from the date of shipment.

13. Within the delivery capacity, there is the complete damper in the version ordered.

V. ASSEMBLY, SERVICE, MAINTENANCE, REVISION

14. The assembly consists of installing the damper in the air distribution system and if required, connecting the actuating mechanism to the electric net. Connection of the actuating mechanism to the electric net can only be done by someone who knows the full wording of notifications ČÚBP and ČBÚ 50/1978 Sb.
