SMPM - Wall Grid Band

These technical conditions specify a row of the manufactured sizes and workmanships of strips for wall-type grids (further only the grid strips). It is valid for the production, designing, ordering, installation and operation.
I. GENERALLY
1. Description
Grid strips serve for the covering of the ventilating holes in the air-conditioned, ventilated or heated spaces.
Grid strips are delivered from the aluminum profiles with the hidden attachment by means of snaps or with the bolt attachment. Grid strips are mounted according to required length from the wall-type grids outer type and central type. They are mounted from the rectangular frame, parallel lamellas and expander pipes. It is possible to deliver also the fastening frames from the galvanized sheet with the attachment or without attachment. Tightness of grid strips is secured by the sealing on the periphery.
Grid strips are determined for the installation in the environment protected against the weather influences of class 3K5 without water also from other sources than from the rain, without condensation, CS Standard EN 60 721 – 3 – 3 and for the spaces BNV according to CS Standard EN 1127-1.
Grid strips are not determined for the aggressive environment and aerial elements with the mechanical, dusty, fibrous and sticky adulterants.
2. Workmanship
The grid strips are delivered in the single-row-type workmanship with the lamella spacing 12,5 mm or 20 mm. The fastening frames are delivered in UR workmanship without attachment., UR1 workmanship with attachment for the bolts or UR2 workmanship with attachment for the brick in. The grid strips with the hidden attachment are mounted by means of snaps in the fastening frames. The grid strips with holes on the frames are mounted by means of bolts. The grid strips with the hidden attachment have to be installed into the fastening frames (UR, UR1, UR2) or into the atypical frames, equipped with the border for the snap attachment (see a ribbon detail on the fastening frame).

Grid strips with a hidden attachment
Snaps and sealing are a part of the delivery for the grid strips.
Installation |
1) Install the fastening frame UR, UR1 or UR2 (mounted from the outer and central frames) Contingently an atypical frame, equipped with the border for the clamping of a snap (see detail of a ribbon on the fastening frame). |
| 2) Insert the grid strip into the fastening frame, push the snaps and shift in the grids.
Attach a tongue of snaps at the border of the fastening frames. |

Dismantling |
| 1) Push the tongue of the snaps behind a lug from the frame border by means of a screwdriver (through the holes among the grid strip lamellas). |
|
| 2) Remove the grid strip. |
Grid strips with attachment by bolts
Bolts, covers and sealing are a part of grid strip delivery.
Installation |
| 1) Install the fastening frame UR, UR1 or UR2 ( mounted from the outer and central frames). |
| 2) Insert the grid strip into a fastening frame and secure by bolts. |
Dismantling |
| 1) Screw out bolts. |
| 2) Remove the grid strips. |

IV. MATERIAL
The grid strips are made of aluminum drawn profiles. The profile surfaces has the surface a natural eloxal-coat treatment . The fastening frames with the attachments are made of the galvanized sheet. The self-adhesive band is on the periphery of the grid strips.
V. PACKING, TRANSPORT, ACCEPTANCE, STORAGE
The grid strips are packed individually in the carton dimension timbers wrapped by the shrink foil. They are transported by the box freight cars. There is possibility to transport the goods on the palettes after an agreement with the customer. The grid strips have to be protected against the mechanical damage during the handling for the duration of the transport and storage.
Unless otherwise specified in the order, the acceptance is carried out by the handing over the grid strips to a forwarder.
The grid strips have to be stored in the roofed facilities, in the environment without the aggressive vapor, gases and dust.
Manufacturer provides 24 months guarantee for the grid strips from the date of dispatch.
