VNM - Adjustable Outlet

These technical conditions define the range of manufactured dimensions and designs of rectangular comfort, one-row and two-row grilles with R1, R2 and R3 regulation. These technical conditions apply to manufacture, designing, ordering, delivery, installation, and operation.

I. GENERAL

1. Description

Grilles are end air-conditioning elements used to distribute air in air-conditioned, ventilated and heated rooms. Comfort grilles made of aluminium sections are supplied.

They consist of rectangular frame which holds either one row or two rows of rotating blades (one- or two-row grilles). The front row of blades is horizontal and identical with the greater of grille dimensions, while the rear row is vertical. The tightness of grilles is ensured along the perimeter by means of sealing.

There can be delivered convenient outlets of aluminum sections with concealed fastening by means of spring clips or with fastening by means of screws. They consist of a rectangular frame in which there is fixed one or two rows of rotat<FONT size="+1" color="#221E1F"></B>ing leafs (single- or double-row outlet). The front row of leafs is horizontal and congruent with the further dimension of the outlet; the back row is vertical. The outlets can be equipped with the control R1 to R3, or with the fixation frame UR. The tightness of the outlets is ensured by a seal along the periphery.

2. Design

Grilles are supplied, according to the number of rows of rotating blades, as one- or two-row grilles, with R1 type regulation through counter-rotating blades (intended both for air inlet and grille), with R2 type regulation through tilting arm of directing blades (intended for air inlet), and with R3 type regulation through fixed and adjustable regulation strip, parallel to grille frame (intended both for air inlet and grille). Blades are pitched at 20 mm. Grilles can be supplied with UR fixing frames.

The outlets are fixated with the help of the frame of the control R1 to R3 or the fixation frame UR. The outlets can be delivered with concealed fastening by means of spring clips or with fastening by screws.

The outlets with concealed fastening have to be installed in the fixation frame UR or in the frame of the control, or if required, in atypical frames furnished with an edge for gripping the spring clips (see detail of leaf on fixation frame).

Grilles should be installed in 3K5 class environment protected against weather conditions according to ČSN EN 60 721-3-3 and in BNV rooms according to ČSN EN 1127-1.

Temperature in the place of installation is permitted to range from - 20°C to + 70°C.

5. Location, Installation

Grilles are intended for installation in piping, partition walls and lower ceilings. Grilles include fixing frames, fixing screws, covers and sealing.

The same values as for 100% regulation opening apply to grilles without regulation.

Example

Given data:
Grille VNM II 280 x 140 swith R1 regulation for air inlet (75% regulation opening)
V = 200 m³.h^-1

Calculation:
w_ef = V / 3600 . S_ef = 200 / 3600 . 0,0214 = 2,6 m.s^-1

III. ORDERING DATA

IV. MATERIAL

The components of grilles are made of drawn aluminium sections. Section surfaces are eloxal coated. Fixing frames are made of galvanized sheet. The sealing along the grille perimeter is made of plastic foam self-adhesive tape.

V. PACKING, TRANSPORT, ACCEPTANCE, STORAGE

Grilles are packed separately in cardboard boxes wrapped in shrinking foil. Transport is made by covered transportation means. As agreed upon with the manufacturer, grilles may be transported on pallets. When handled during transport and storage, grilles must be protected against mechanical damage.

Unless the acceptance procedure is defined in the order, the disposition of grilles to the carrier will be considered the acceptance of grilles by the customer.

Grilles must be stored in closed premises, in environment free from aggressive vapours, gases and dust.

The manufacturer grants an 18-month guarantee for grilles after the date of operation start, however maximum 24 months after the date of dispatching.
