Construction Products Update

The company MANDÍK, a.s. has met UKCA/UKNI certification requirements. Therefore, from January 1, 2023, the fire dampers FDMR, FDMB, FDMQ 120 will be marked by UKCA/UKNI along with CE mark.
Smoke extraction dampers SEDM, SEDM-L, MSD and SEDS-L will be marked by the same way.
The sales of the other fire and smoke extraction dampers will continue with CE marking and EU certification due to the decision of the UK government as explained below:

“Construction Products Update
The Government has extended recognition of CE marking for construction products until 30 June 2025. Updated guidance can be found here:

As part of new ministers’ commitment to support businesses navigate current global and economic supply chain challenges and prioritise growth, the Government is using its regulatory autonomy to provide flexibility for businesses on how they can comply with our product safety requirements.
To this end, until 30 June 2025, in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), both the UK and CE mark will continue to be recognised. Northern Ireland will continue to align with the requirements of the European Union’s regulatory regime, under the terms of the Northern Ireland Protocol.
This is intended to prevent immediate cost increases and challenges for businesses, which would otherwise be passed on to consumers and commercial supply chains, whilst maintaining high standards of product safety. This reflects cross-government efforts to use regulatory autonomy to provide flexibility for businesses on how they can comply with product safety requirements. This flexibility means Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) can continue to work with businesses who wish to use the UKCA mark to place goods on the GB Market.
We will use this extension period to engage closely with the industry to consider reforms to the construction products sector. We will also continue to focus on strengthening and enhancing the existing regulatory regime for construction products.
